Wales Management Council Leaders Forum - Charter

We believe that the quality of managers in Wales will have a vital impact on the performance of their businesses and organisations, and on the economy of wales as a whole, and that investment in management and leadership development needs to be a priority for both business and government.

We share the vision of the Wales Management Council of a Wales where managers in all sctors have both the ambition and the ability to create and sustain businesses and organisations that are among the best in UK.

We support the Wales Management Council's aim to inspire, motivate and drive change in the perception, delivery, take-up and funding of management and leadership development in Wales.

We encourage the Welsh Assembly Government, and its agencies to utilise the expertise that lies within the most successful companies and organisations to design and implement development programmes that are fit for purpose, fit for pocket, and fit for people in Wales.

We recommend a strong partnership approach where need is articulated by the market place, response is actively facilitated by government, and the results are judged in terms of real business benefits.

We learn from each other, and believe that more active steps need to be taken to facilitate this across Wales, through networking events, business-to-business mentoring, and the sharing of best practise.
