The National Occupational Standards for Management & Leadership

The 'new' M&L Standards, which were approved in November 2004, describe the level of perfromance expected in employment for a range of management and leadership functions/activities (as shown in the diagram below). NOS M&L provide access to practical and well designed guidelines on how to achieve high quality management & leadership for their businesses and industries. The standards are aimed directly at businesses, funding bodies, HR professionals, trade unions and individual managers & leaders
