Wales Management Council Leaders Forum.

Introduction
In the last five years, the Wales Management Council has played a leading role in developing a strategy and action agenda for management and leadership development in Wales, and its influence is growing.

The Wales Management Council’s strength lies in its members who represent all sectors and have a personal involvement in the realities of management and leadership in Wales today.

The Wales Management Council’s views, strategy, and recommendations for action are thus based on and supported by the views of practising managers, with a passionate and informed belief in the importance of management and leadership development as a key driver for economic growth in Wales.

The expertise of the Council is however limited by the tenure of each individual Council member. The Council believes that its influence and impact on the Welsh economy would be greatly enhanced if the views, expertise and experience of past members of the Council were harnessed to complement and enhance the work of serving members, and that this wider group should be used to engage others in the work that the Council is doing.

We therefore plan to create the Wales Management Council Leaders Forum, which will be an active network of people who believe in the importance of good management and leadership, want to learn from each other, and will use their own influence to shape the economic development of Wales by raising the quality of our managers and leaders.
