Mentoring Working Group

Why do we make so little fuss about mentoring in Wales?

Why is it that mentoring programmes in Wales are largely unknown, poorly funded, and with limited outreach?

Why is it that much that purports to be mentoring is wrongly labelled, and thus fails to provide support that individuals and organisations really need?

Why is it that with such a strong body of evidence that mentoring works, and makes a real different to lives, personal skills, and organisational success, it is largely ignored in Wales?

In the first three months of 2004 Wales Management Council convened a small group of experts to discuss these questions and make recommendations for the way forward.
