Your Quest For Excellence
If you're a manager in a business with a future, or you aspire to a management role, then you'll be faced with a constant need to adapt, improve and acquire new skills.
The Wales Management Council works with partners to ensure Wales has the training and development infrastructure to support individuals and businesses in their quest for excellence.
While endorsing formal qualifications such as MBAs (and other recognised qualifications) the WMC places special emphasis on building competence which has a direct impact on day to day performance.
We also put high priority on promoting methods of training which fit in with the needs of industry and individual managers.
Working with the Welsh Assembly Government's DCELLS (Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills) and DET (Department for Enterprise and Transport), the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management, we aim to broaden the options available to managers and management teams needing to raise their skills.
Learning in the workplace, on-line learning and other innovative forms methods of acquiring new management skills are high on our agenda.
Our top priority is that the management development support available in Wales should match the highest standards available in the UK or internationally.
